BEHIND THE STAR
About Harmonic Art
A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Sonic Allure
At Harmonic Art, we create handpan instruments that captivate the senses and linger in memory. Celebrated worldwide for their refined sound and meticulous craftsmanship, each Harmonic handpan is a sculpted work of steel—precisely forged and finely tuned to reveal a voice of depth, clarity, and resonance.
More than instruments, Harmonic handpans are intimate companions. They invite creative expression, quiet contemplation, sound healing, and musical discovery. Whether in the hands of a seasoned performer, a yoga practitioner, or a seeker of stillness, the Harmonic responds with an immersive, celestial presence—one that draws the listener inward.
Our distinctive forging and tuning process gives birth to an instrument that feels alive: stable yet responsive, rich in tonal range, luminous with crisp overtones. Played directly with the hands and fingers, it awakens a soothing melodic flow—equally suited for solitary improvisation, shared musical dialogue, or seamless integration with other instruments.
Harmonic Art handpans are not merely played—they are experienced.
They are invitations: to connect, to express, and to explore the subtle power of sound.
Andrés Gomm
Founder and Master Artisan of Harmonic Art
Andrés Gomm is the creative force behind Harmonic Art — a place where steel is shaped with intention, sound becomes a language, and craftsmanship turns into a path of inner resonance. A pioneer of the handpan making in Latin America and among the first artisans to share his instruments throughout Europe and the United States, Andrés has helped open a space for the handpan as both a musical and transformative experience.
With a background in Mechatronic Engineering, he bridges two worlds: the precision of science and the subtle intuition of sound. In his hands, metal is not only engineered — it is listened to, understood, and invited to reveal its own voice. Each Harmonic Art handpan carries this union: a balance between accuracy and soul, crafted to inspire creativity, connection, and deep listening.
Beyond building instruments, Andrés is a tuner and performer. He interacts with each handpan as a living being, bringing out its character, harmonics, and emotional resonance. His creations have traveled across continents, accompanying artists, sound therapists, and seekers who recognize in them more than an instrument — a portal to presence and inner stillness.
Under Andrés’s guidance, Harmonic Art has grown into a space dedicated to vibration, community, and the evolution of sound. Every instrument becomes a meeting point between cultures, a bridge for shared experience, and an invitation to explore music as a path of connection.
More than an artisan, Andrés Gomm is a guardian of resonance — a pioneer of a sound movement that continues to expand with clarity, beauty, and heart.

OUR STORY
Always in Search of Inspiration
In 2014, in the city of Medellín, Colombia, Harmonic Art was born from the pioneering vision of Andrés Gomm—mechatronic engineer, passionate musician, and artisan who dreamed of giving voice to steel. From that small workshop, where the first hammer strokes resonated like a ritual, began a journey that would transform the handpan into an instrument of global reach.
What started as a solitary quest soon became a movement. The first Harmonic Art handpans were praised for their purity and depth, captivating both musicians and spiritual seekers. By 2015, their sounds had already reached Europe, where Andrés was among the first artisans to circulate his instruments, opening a new chapter in the history of the handpan.
In 2016, a historic alliance with Meinl Percussion consolidated that vision and placed Harmonic Art at the heart of the global handpan community. By 2018, the expansion of the workshop made it possible to increase production without losing the artisanal quality that defines every instrument. And in 2022, a strategic partnership with Schlagwerk expanded its global presence even further, ensuring that Harmonic Art handpans found homes in every corner of the world.
Today, with more than 7,000 instruments created, Harmonic Art stands as a global reference in the art of the handpan. Our collection—the most diverse and refined on the market—not only offers sonic excellence, but a transformative experience that connects cultures and people through the universal language of music.
Guided by the vision of Andrés Gomm, we continue to expand the boundaries of this instrument with an unwavering commitment: to craft world-class handpans where artisanal tradition meets modern innovation.
Our core values—quality, innovation, passion, and excellence—are the pulse behind every note. Harmonic Art is not just a brand: it is a sound movement that inspires, connects, and transcends.

A Masterpiece of Sound, Craft, and Creative Freedom
Discover Harmonic Art — Where Precision Meets Artistry
Welcome to the world of Harmonic Art.
At Harmonic Art, we believe musical expression is an instinct—not a skill reserved for the trained. You don’t need theory, technique, or experience to play the Harmonic. Each instrument is tuned to a carefully chosen scale in which every note belongs. There are no wrong notes—only possibilities. Guided by intuition and emotion, you are free to play in any position, at any moment. With the lightest touch, the Harmonic answers with a rich, balanced resonance, making music feel natural, immediate, and deeply personal.
Crafted for Excellence
Our work is driven by a devotion to refinement. We believe that mastery is revealed through process—and that exceptional instruments are born from patience, precision, and relentless innovation. For this reason, we craft each Harmonic using specially selected German steel, prized for its tuning stability, corrosion resistance, and luminous tonal character.
Nothing about a Harmonic is automated. Every instrument is entirely hand-shaped and hand-tuned, guided by years of metallurgical research and acoustic expertise. Each curve, tension point, and tone field is adjusted by ear and by hand. The result is an instrument of remarkable consistency, depth, and longevity—what we consider one of the most refined handpans in existence.
With over a decade of experience, Harmonic Art handpans embody the meeting point of engineering and artistry. Our advanced steel treatment renders them completely maintenance-free, while our uncompromising standards of precision make Harmonic Art the choice of discerning musicians worldwide.
A Sculpted Symphony in Steel
The Harmonic is more than a handpan—it is a sound sculpture. It can shimmer like a harp, chime like a bell, or resonate with the warmth of a steelpan. Its intuitive zig-zag note layout ascends fluidly around the rim, allowing melodies to unfold effortlessly from one hand to the other.
Each Harmonic model is voiced with clarity, balance, and expressive range. The architectural design enhances resonance, stabilizes tuning, and refines timbre. Shoulder tones and note sensitivity are meticulously calibrated, while each scale is designed to evoke a distinct emotional atmosphere. Whether played for meditation, joy, or performance, the Harmonic invites a deeply immersive and intimate musical journey.
Playing the Harmonic
Top Shell
At the center lies the signature ding—the tonal heart of the instrument. Surrounding it are precisely tuned tone fields, each containing a fundamental pitch, an octave, and a compound fifth. By touching different areas of a field, you awaken shimmering harmonic overtones: the longer side reveals the octave; the shorter side releases the fifth.
Bottom Shell
Inspired by traditional Ghatam and Udu drums, the bottom shell features a Helmholtz resonator port capable of producing a deep, sustained bass or a sharp, percussive thump—entirely dependent on your touch. A double-curved rim enhances comfort, while a discreet protective rubber ring ensures durability during transport.
Effortless Musical Freedom
Because every note is harmonically aligned, the Harmonic dissolves hesitation. Rhythm, melody, and harmony merge instinctively, allowing beginners to explore without fear and experienced musicians to access profound nuance. Whether used for performance, meditation, or sound healing, the Harmonic creates a serene, enveloping soundscape that draws both player and listener inward.
The Finest Sound Sculptures for the World’s Most Attentive Players
Crafted from ultra-strong Vibra Stainless Steel, Harmonic Art handpans offer exceptional durability, natural rust resistance, and a clear, ceramic-like tone. They require no maintenance—only your hands and your presence.
This is an instrument that places an orchestra in your lap and sends resonant waves through body and soul.
